It is with great saddness that I announce the repose of our beloved Metropolitan Laurus, Primate and First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia.  Vladika died early sunday morning at his home at Holy Trinity Monastery.  Vladika was 80 years old and had spent almost his entire life in monastic obedience, well over 50 of those years at Jordanville.  His funeral will be held at Holy Trinity Monastery Cathedral with burial following at the Monastery where other former First Hierarchs are buried.  The Services will be led by Bishops of the Synod and a delegation from the Moscow Patriarchate led by Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsa and Kolomna.

A Pannikhida wil be served at the Rectory at 7pm Wednesday, March 19.
